On September 2, 2026, at FSBI SPbNIIFK, the leading researcher of the Division of Development of Adaptive Physical Culture and Sports, candidate of biological sciences, associate professor N.B. Lukmanova presented a scientific report on the topic «Dynamic Monitoring of the Neuromuscular System Using Myotonometry in High-Class Paralympic Athletes throughout the Annual Training Cycle».

The presented study is being conducted within the framework of the Federal Task of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation for 2026. During the research, using the MyotonPRO method, specialists evaluated muscle tone, dynamic stiffness, and tissue elasticity. Reference values of myotonometric indicators in a resting state were determined, and their changes under specific physical load and subsequent recovery were analyzed.
Following the report, a scientific discussion took place. Participants discussed differences in reference values among athletes from various nosological groups, the potential for implementing the research findings into the training process, features of measurements in a resting state, as well as additional methods for assessing the functional state of athletes.
Particular attention was given to the practical implementation of the research results. N.B. Lukmanova noted that the results of the study have been shared with coaches, and some recommendations are already being applied in the training process. Implementation certificates of the research outcomes have been obtained from the All-Russian Federation for athletes with intellectual impairment and the Russian Federation of Sport for the Blind.
Summing up the seminar, chairman P.A. Bulochkin thanked the presenter and participants for active professional discussion and emphasized the practical significance of dynamic monitoring of the neuromuscular system of high-class Paralympic athletes using myotonometry.
